I am most excited to introduce to you, our ground-breaking SlimStone products. But here, I’m going to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Nic Venter. I am the co-owner and head of sales for SlimStone USA. I am originally from beautiful Cape Town, in South Africa. In 2018 my sister-in-law was running and was the victim of a very unfortunate hit and run accident in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she resides. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and sadly was no longer able to continue to care for her 9-year-old twins, son and daughter. My wife and I and our 12-year-old daughter decided as a family to move to the USA to step in to take care of what was now our new family of 6! We felt that relocating the twins to South Africa would have brought even greater challenges. Navigating the immigration process and dealing with the fallout after the accident meant long hours of work, not just in the business, but in our personal lives. We have been very fortunate to have an angel family here in the USA who came to our aid after hearing our story. We greatly appreciate their love and support.
I love to play golf, run/exercise and spend time outdoors. As much as I love traveling, the airport check-in process puts me off, but I guess that is part of the process and what needs to be done. Love traveling with my daughter and wife, they are very funny on holiday! Being a South African, a good braai, “BBQ”, is always on the cards, rain or sunshine. I look forward to exploring many states and cities in the USA in the future.
